Luck

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a spectacular weekend! The only eventful part was that I obviously changed my hair a bit. I have decided to say goodbye to the ginger that I have had so long, and attempted to go back to my natural hair color. I mean it will probably morph back to red after two weeks but a girl can dream right? Plus I am digging the brunette! It is something completely different!

As my freshman year is slowly winding down, I am finding it difficult to be motivated to pick out cute outfits. I am so tempted to be like one of those girls who rolls into class in yoga pants and a hoodie, but alas I cannot. For today I paired my grey high-waisted shorts and paired it with an h&m top. I am obsessed with the fun shoulder embellishments. It really adds something to an outfit! Then I added my free people socks with my red boots. In the end it kind of made me feel like a young school kid. It is such an easy lazy day outfit without looking like a bum!

Adding to my normal accessories I added my what I like to call "religion necklace." I have been collecting these charms for the last few years. Something from each religion. It is something that I absolutely adore and it has become sort of like a good luck charm for me!

Do you have any jewelry that you consider lucky?

Model Behavior

Happy Model Behavior everyone! I know it isn't Friday, but just go with it! For today I thought I would feature a fresher face in the modeling world: Lindsey Wixson. Known for those pouty lips and signature gap in her teeth, she is taking the fashion world by storm! Being featured by so many designers, she is someone to keep an eye on for years to come.

Lindsey's style is not only extremely chic, but also incredibly fun. She likes to switch between edgy and playful throughout all of her outfits. I love how she can go from completely high-end to very cool and casual. It is a kind of style that I would hope to emulate in my own personal style.

I Will Not Grow Up.

Hello lovely people! I hope your week is going swimmingly! I cannot help but be inspired by all of the beautiful nature all around me! I mean it isn't like the forests I'm surrounded by at home, but it still works. All over campus there are so many gorgeous flowers, trees, and vines! I am completely dying! It is so wonderful! There are so many places I can go to take pictures that do not look like they are a part of a college campus!

Today in particular my friend Gillie and I found this lovely little part of campus. It was all secluded and reminded me of a fairy garden. When I saw it all I wanted was to listen to the Peter Pan soundtrack with all of the whimsical sounds. For my outfit I was once again inspired with the style of Woodstock. I paired my floral maxi skirt with an American Eagle tank, American Eagle sweater, and Aldo boots. To up the 60s look I added one of my headbands from Thailand. It was such a fun look to wear! I can't help but always think I am in the wrong era since the thing to wear is sweatpants in ugg boots! gross.

Are you inspired by nature, music, or movies?
What is it??

Covered in Vines

Hi all! Living on a college it is so fun to see it during the springtime! All of the flowers are in full bloom, the leaves are lush and green, and the ivy is starting to cover the walls again. It is absolutely stunning! There are now so many wonderful places to take pictures it is pretty hard to choose just one.

For the day I wanted to go with a very spring esque dress. I paired it with my Zara cardigan, ripped tights, and my favorite red combat boots for some edge. It is always so much fun to add a little edge to such a girly dress. It is one of my favorite ways to add some drama. And can we all just pause and lust over the ivy covered walls??? They are absolutely perfect! It kind of reminds me of Madeline aka my favorite childhood movie.

Do you all have a favorite way to add some edge and flair to a very girly outfit?

Model Behavior

Happy Friday everyone! It is time for my model streetstyle of the week! For today I chose Emma Watson. Now before you all start saying that I am wrong for choosing an actress for the spotlight, you are all wrong! I can justify this by using her Burberry campaigns! Anyways I make the rules for this.

Emma Watson has pretty much grown up in the limelight. I mean she was in what I consider the greatest movie series of all time! Anyways along with watching her grown up, we have also seen her style blossom. I feel like she can pull of any look. She does the boho, she does the girly, she does the classic, and she does tomboy. All of these are pulled off flawlessly! Just look at her! I wish I could look as good as she does! I think what makes her incredibly chic is her confidence and her pixie! I don't think she has ever had a bad outfit in recent years... well maybe a few, but she keeps them under wraps. So here's to you Ms. Watson! Kudos for having such phenomenal style.

Make it Pop

Hi loves! I hope you are all having a fantastic week! So I seriously cannot get over this weather. The warmth of the springtime is making it pretty difficult to be motivated to continue on with this semester!

Since it is close to my birthday my parents sent me my gifts a tad early. In it contained this lovely jean dress from my grandparents and these shoes by Blowfish from my other grandparents. I am so in love with both of them! They are such fun staple items that you can pair with almost anything! I adore the simple ruffle on the dress. It is such a fun detail. To add more color this dull pallet I added this vintage orange scarf.

Do you have a favorite thing to add to a plain outfit to make it pop? What do you think is the best way to make an outfit that much better?

Casual Tuesday

Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope you week has been going swimmingly so far! So for once I was excited for Tuesday! I even had my outfit planned out last night. Proud of me right? So anyways I wanted to showcase my new shoes so I went with a minimalist look.

I paired my F21 high waisted shorts with a crop top and urban outfitters sweater. Now onto the shoes! Aren't they kinda fantastic?! It was such a simple DIY project (that I am not creative enough to do on my own) All you have to do is get plain white canvas sneakers and sharpies. My friend was lovely enough to draw on them for me!

She put on all of my favorite things. The shoes are full of nature, Ingrid Michaelson, Adele, the 60s and Harry Potter. Every time I look at them they make me so happy! If you have a just a simple outfit it is so easy to brighten it up with fun shoes like these or fun accessories.

Do you have a favorite DIY project that you have done?

Spring Time is in the Air

Spring is finally in the air! I mean I know it has been really nice out lately, but the flowers are here! Campus is absolutely stunning... completely full of various flowers and nature. I absolutely adore it!

To celebrate the day full of flowers I decided to finally wear my favorite spring pattern... floral! I wore one of my oldest sundresses and paired it with a red American Eagle cardigan, H&M cheetah flats and my favorite Ray Bans. I think that you can make colors in a dress really pop if you add one solid color to it.

Do you all have a favorite trend this spring??

Central Park

The other day my friends and I decided that it would be a perfect day to go to Central Park. We got all dressed up and headed out for the city. After walking around for a bit we found the perfect spot for pictures. It was semi secluded and surrounded by gorgeous flowers. Central Park is definitely the place to go if you want to forget that you live in the city. It is so beautiful.

For the day I went with my new Forever 21 dress paired with a Ralph Lauren jean shirt and Forever 21 hat. It felt like such a summery outfit with a little Parisian flair. I absolutely pairing hats with an outfit to give it a little more style. And don't get me started about polka dots. I am so in love with polka dots! They are possibly my favorite. When I found the hat that had a matching ribbon to the dress I died a little!

Model Behavior

Happy Friday all of my loves! I hope you are having a wonderful start to the weekend! For this week's featured model I decided to do a throw back. Twiggy was such an iconic face of the 1960s, this being my favorite era I thought it would be perfect to showcase someone from this time.

In the 1960s really brought the "mod" look into style. Twiggy was the one who really helped it come to light. It seemed as if she was always in some form of mini dress and ballet flats, she really did model the iconic style of the time. And who could forget that eye makeup?? It is all absolutely fantastic.
I draw so much inspiration from Twiggy when I get dressed. I mean half the things I wear are already Twiggyesque. Though some models don't age very well, she is still just as gorgeous and stylish as she was then.

I know that Twiggy is my favorite what should we call her... "vintage" models. Who is yours?
