IFB conference

Yesterday I had the most amazing opportunity to go to the IFB conference. It was truly an amazing experience. Not only did I get to meet some of my favorite bloggers from cupcakes and cashmere and bryanboy but I also got to meet other aspiring bloggers as well. The energy in the room was incredible! There were young and old bloggers, but everyone seemed equal and eager to learn how to make their blogs even better! I cannot wait till next season's conference!

As for my outfit of the day, I took a while to deliberate what to wear. I mean it was a FASHION blogger's conference so it was a very serious decision. In the end I went with one of my favorite dresses. I got it in Thailand in a hot mall (which are pretty much little shops where the designers are sitting there sewing the dresses in front of you).  The color and the fit I think is perfect. I paired it with my Topshop boots and Modcloth fur coat.

I hope if you ever have the opportunity to go to this conference, that you go for it! It really is amazing! Thanks for reading, loves!

The Answer is Blowing in the Wind

I love exploring the campus for perfect location for pictures. I think it is fantastic that it looks so secluded from the world, but in reality it is just off the beaten path. Since it was semi warm today I didn't have to go with so many layers.. I just paired my favorite high waisted shorts with my Ralph Lauren sweater and my favorite Aldo ballet flats.

Tomorrow is the Independent Fashion Blogger's conference in the city! It is going to be so amazing to hear and see all the bloggers I admire so much. I can't wait to tell you all about it. The only problem is I have no idea what to wear! Wish me luck!

your path is true just ease your mind

It is another beautiful day in New York. Though it is a little cold the sun is shining and it makes me want to stay outside all day! Gillie and went on a search for the perfect place to take pictures.. Luckily we did not have to resort to the brick wall... We found this adorable little nook with some adorable foliage and benches.

Though these boots have definitely seen better days, they are perfect for walking around campus. I paired them with this purple dress, which would be perfect for spring due to the lack of back, and my go to Zara sweater.

Thanks for reading, loves! Have a beautiful day.

peter pan and pilgrims.

I can't believe what glorious weather we have been having. It is January and I do not have to wear a jacket.. I could live like this forever. For a day of running to and from classes I decided on this fantastic little black dress. I cannot begin to say how much I am obsessed with peter pan collars. They are to die for! I paired it with my Zara sweater and Topshop boots to finish the look off.

Since it was such a beautiful day, my friend Gillie and I decided to take advantage of the weather and take pictures outside. Though it is not stunning, this little archway was a perfect place to show off the outfits.

have a wonderful day and thanks for reading, loves.

Leather and Lions

Over break my mom and I went on quite a few bonding trips. One in particular was to the studio and gallery of Don Drumm in Akron. He is the phenomenal sculptor who does everything from jewelry to huge wall sculptures. He is simply amazing! I got this brooch from there and even though it was not made by him, it was made by his daughter who has a very similar aesthetic. I thought it was just to die for and I had to have it.

I paired it with my H&M sweater, F21 dress, my fathers hat, and leather jacket which I have no clue where it is from. And also my absolute favorite boots which I thought were dead forever. Luckily I found a cobbler who looked just like Geppetto who made them as good as new!

 Thank you all for reading!

Back to the Basics.

After a month long break in Ohio I am finally back to school in New York! Since the weather has been terrible, I get to show you the lovely brick walls of my dorm as a backdrop. Definitely not ideal, but at least it is no longer cornfields.

This is pretty much a remix of an outfit I had a few weeks ago. I am wearing almost the exact same components, just styled it a tad differently.. I went with my Topshop scarf and boots, Forever 21 dress, and Zara sweater to keep me warm walking to and from classes.

Thank you all for reading, and as I learned from my Italian class, Arrivederci!

The Awkward Sweater

Everyone has that one awkward sweater... The one that everyone else is curious as to why we would touch it, but to us it is gold! I saw this gem online somewhere, but being the poor college student I refrained from buying it. Lucky for me, my dad caught the hint and got it for me for Christmas! Though my sisters cringed at my taste, I think it is wonderful! I paired it with some wonderful pants from the Gap.

Though my time in Ohio has been really wonderful, I am  ready to go home to school! Only two more weeks till I can go to the beautiful city!
