holidays review

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! It is always so grand to spend time with family.
Christmas eve I spent with my grandma, and I wore my fur vest there. I got it a year ago and never even put it on... I guess it was time I pull it out of my closet and show it off!

Christmas day was a day of fashion in  my household. Everyone sported their new clothes to spend the day. I know it is a bit late for a Christmas post, but I was too busy with all the fun festivities.

What Not to Wear

Most families have some form of tradition they do during Christmas time. For mine it is hiking around the Christmas tree farm to find the perfect tree to chop down. I know, I know, not very green; but it is our thing. Most years I choose an outfit to go with the weather. This year, I was not that smart. I opted for a mini skirt, sweater, and leggings. It was horrible! My advice for those who galavant through the snow to get a tree: where jeans, thick socks, and boots like pa!!! You will be freezing if you don't...

In light of my bad clothing choice, I hope everyone has a happy holiday!

Current Obsessions

I have decided to do a weekly "Current Obsessions" post. I'll pretty much say my favorite things to wear for the week. So for this week my obsessions are mini dresses and boots. I love wearing dresses all year round. Now to accommodate this freezing weather i just pair them with a good pair of boots, a festive sweater, and some lovely tights. That is all I truly need to make a good outfit.

I like taking a girly dress and making it edgier. I feel I can get that edgy look by pairing those boots with anything! They are definitely one of the best purchases of my year. They are so versatile. God, I think I'm quite obsessed with them!

oh life..

Sorry for such a short post, but there isn't much to say except that: I didn't get into NYU, I found of the day after I made my post. It is all for the best, though. So, to cheer myself up, I ditched school to go Christmas shopping with my grandma! Nothing mends a broken heart like some retail therapy. After my day of shopping I went out to eat for Pa's birthday! Finally an adult.  It was such a fun time to dress up and go out to forget everything that was going on in my life.

Wow! I have decided I am horrible at keeping a blog (even though this is only my second post!) I am terrible about posting everyday. Oh well! On a lighter note, I have definitely decided New York City is the place for me. Spending the past two weekends there has solidified my decision. I went with my family and school and did mostly touristy type things, except when we visited New York University. It is such a fantastic campus! I saw so many opportunities there. If I don't get into NYU, I will just die! All around me there were such unique artistic people. It is definitely a place where I could live.
Here are some pictures from the fabulous trip!
