Casual Tuesday

Happy casual Tuesday, everyone! This whole thing with getting dressed in a casual manner is getting way easier. It is so simple to make any outfit standout by how you accessorize it. All you need to do is add a pop of color with your shoes and a few rings and a headband and you'd be gold.

For today I went with simple blue jeans paired with one of my most comfortable Urban shirts, pink Target boots, and a headband from Thailand. It is such a simple and comfortable outfit that goes with almost every situation. Cuffed jeans and an oversized shirt are definitely a go to outfit when nothing looks right.

Do any of you have a fail safe outfit that you wear when nothing seems right??

Keep Breathing

Hello all of my loves, I am sorry I have been so absent this week! I had to return to Ohio for a funeral and I stupidly forgot my camera at school. But no worries, I am back and ready to go. Coming back from home I was expecting it to still be warm like it had been for the passed few weeks, but alas it was not. It was chilly again so I had to dress like it was winter again.

For today I decided to go with an extremely classic look. I paired a simple black skirt with my grey silk top and my super old purple boots. It was such a simple outfit that had flair to it. It is so easy to make an  outfit pop with a tiny bit of color. Anyone can do it.

To accessorize I wore my late great grandmother's necklace. It is filled with mustard seeds, I am not completely sure of what the meaning is, but since it belonged to her it means a lot. It is such a simple piece that I can wear with everything. In the short amount of time that I have owned it, it has become one of my favorite pieces.

Do any of you have a favorite heirloom piece? Something that might not be completely gorgeous, but means a lot??
Thank you all for reading.

Model Behavior

Hi all! Sorry I am a few days late on the usual Friday post. I have had such a busy weekend! But better late than never right? So for this week I am featuring the fantastic Arizona Muse. She has been in the fashion world since 2008, and she never ceases to amaze me with her fantastic style.

She is so classic and chic. She seems to stick to the basics, but is never too scared to make her look a tad edgy. And can you believe she is a mother? I mean I hope to look half as good and dress half as well as she does when I am a mother. She is one of the most sought out models of this time, and she always looks fantastic on and off the runway! Here's to mothers who walk the runway and still manage to look fierce.

Down on Me

It has been so fantastic these past few days! I mean everything seems to be falling into place perfectly. I mean I got the job I wanted, I got a possible internship, and I got to see the Hunger Games last night. Seriously, nothing can bring me down. And to go along with a perfect day had to be the perfect outfit.

For the day I pulled inspiration from my favorite era, which is obviously the 60s. I paired a pair of vintage shorts with my Francescas tank, Charlotte Rousse leather jacket, Free People Socks, and thrifted boots and scarf. I felt a little bit like one of my favorite singers, Janis Joplin. Carefree about what I wore. It is such a fantastic feeling.

Have you all had a day that was completely fantastic lately?
Thank you all for reading!

Casual Tuesday

What I consider the most difficult day of the week has come again. Casual Tuesday. Another day to attempt to put together a "casual" outfit without looking absolutely unkempt. It really is helping me be able to broaden my style horizons. So for today I went with the little grunge look. Thought the Woodstock era is my absolute generation, I have always had a soft spot for the grunge scene of the 90s. People like Marc Jacobs, Courtney Love, and Angela Chase from My So Called Life have all inspired me in different ways. It is just a style that is so chill and free. I mean what is not to love about flannel shirts, combat boots, and floral dresses? It is so fantastic.

For today I went with my absolute favorite combat boots that I pair with almost everything, a vintage tshirt that I got in Akron, and a pair of ripped up jean shorts. It just felt so incredibly grunge to me. I was listening to Hole and Garbage all day which really added to how fantastic I felt.

Do you guys find the 90s to be a fantastic era full of good music and fun fashion. Or tacky as many do full of hammer pants and scrunchies?
Thank you all for reading, dears.

Hey Mr. Tambourine Man

HAPPY BOB DYLAN DAY!
50 years ago today Bob Dylan's very first album was released!
I can't believe it has been a half a century that we've been listening to the amazing voice and lyrics of Dylan.

For as long as I can remember I've been listening to Bob Dylan's music. Both of my parents are partially obsessed with him, so his songs were always playing around the house and on family road trips. It wasn't until I was older that I realized how much he truly inspired me, in both my style and my way of thinking. I have always loved the 1960s and their way of life, with the free thinking hippies and fantastic music scene, it has always been the time I have wanted to travel back to.
Dylan was the ringleader of the time. Without him we wouldn't have half of the musicians that we have today. He has inspired so many in style and in music. No words can describe how amazing he truly is.

These lovely little pictures are from a St. Patricks day photoshoot my friend Krista did of me! I paired my American Eagle jeans with an H&M top and Aldo flats.

Do you have a favorite Bob Dylan song or artist of the Woodstock era?
Thanks for reading, all!

Model Behavior

Happy second week of Model Behavior, all! For this week I decided to showcase the wonderful style of Chanel Iman. She has been on the scene for quite some time and her style never ceases to amaze me!

Chanel Iman has mastered being able to go from boho chic to girly rocker in an instant. I love how she can pull off wearing jeans and a tshirt and make it look completely fantastic. Just like Karlie she looks flawless on and off the runway. It truly inspires me that she does not stick to one single trend or one single style. She is always changing it up. From walking on the Michael Kors to the Victoria Secret runway, she is someone we need to watch for a long time.
